Happy Birthday, Malaysia
A day before our 52nd National Day, I got off the LRT in Pasar Seni and saw this.
Graffiti artists with parked cars inside the monsoon drain.
It struck me that Yasmin Ahmad has become such an icon synonymous with our National Day that this is our very first year without her signature Petronas commercials.
Kak Yasmin, we'll be just fine.
Rest in peace.

actually kan. malaysia happy birthday is 16 Sept.
for the peninsula it was in 1957.
people keep forgetting things like these.
